Our Story

It started with one question

Viviana's journey through veterinary practice, physiotherapy, bodywork, canine communication, animal behaviour, massage, and energy healing led to one question… What do dogs truly need in the human world?

What began as one path became a space where dogs are supported physically, emotionally, mentally, and energetically — every single day.

💪

Physical

Adventure walks, free movement, and space to run, play, and explore at their own pace.

🧠

Mental

Enrichment activities, problem-solving, and structured freedom that keeps minds engaged.

❤️

Emotional

A calm, supportive environment where every dog is seen, heard, and emotionally supported.

Spiritual

Deep connection, intuitive understanding, and honouring each dog's unique energy and needs.

Led with love. Guided with understanding.

This isn't something we say — it's something we practise. In how we greet them, guide them, and support them throughout their day. Every decision comes from understanding, not control.

Because when a dog feels truly understood, everything else follows.

Follow Along

A Day in the Skool of Drool World

From the moment we arrive, your dog's day has already begun. Not just with movement, but with connection, energy, and trust. What unfolds is not just a daycare routine — but a carefully held, natural world where dogs can be themselves, explore, and truly settle.

Morning Collection

Your dog's day begins the moment we arrive. Collection runs between 8:30 and 9:30am depending on your area, and this is where we begin setting the tone for their day.

Dogs naturally co-regulate with us, so our energy, presence, and connection matter. Each dog is greeted individually — we read their body language, feel into their mood, and gently guide them into the day ahead.

The Journey

Travel is calm, not chaotic. We create a relaxed environment in the van with soft, calming music and steady energy, allowing dogs to settle into the journey.

This transition matters — it supports nervous system regulation before the day fully begins.

Balanced Groups

Dogs are introduced thoughtfully into carefully balanced groups. We consider energy, temperament, and individual needs — not just size.

Every interaction is observed and guided, allowing natural friendships to form safely and at each dog's own pace.

The Field Experience

The field is more than space — it's an environment designed for dogs to reconnect with their natural instincts. Different areas support different needs throughout the day:

  • Open space for free movement and play
  • Enrichment zones with scent work and problem-solving
  • Breed-specific activities tailored to natural drives
  • Quiet corners for rest, safety, and observation
  • Natural elements — trees, plants, seasonal changes

Wildlife passes through the land, scents shift daily, and no two days are ever the same. This is a world that feels instinctively familiar to dogs — because it is.

Nature-Led Adventures

Out into the Scottish countryside in small, balanced groups. Dogs explore, sniff, move, and experience the world as they're designed to — at their own pace, in all weather.

This is where instinct comes alive.

Enrichment

Mental stimulation is woven naturally into the day. From scent work to problem-solving and sensory exploration, each dog is supported in a way that suits their mind.

Not every dog needs the same thing — and we honour that.

Rest & Reset

Rest is essential. We create calm, quiet spaces where dogs can fully switch off, decompress, and reset.

Some choose to rest together, others prefer their own space — both are respected. This balance between activity and stillness is what allows dogs to leave settled, not overstimulated.

Afternoon Play

As energy builds again, dogs return to social play in a way that feels natural and unforced. Confidence grows, relationships deepen, and each dog continues to move at their own pace — never rushed, never pushed.

Golden Hour

As the day softens, so does the energy. This is a slower, more intentional time — gentle connection, calming touch, and quiet presence.

For dogs who need it, this may include massage, grooming, or simply space to be. We honour the shift from movement into calm.

Home Time

As the day comes to a close, the energy softens once more. On the journey home, most dogs naturally settle — often drifting into a gentle nap after a full day of movement, connection, and enrichment. By the time they arrive back to you, they are calm, content, and fulfilled.

Before drop-off, each dog is gently cleaned and dried in the field where needed, and again on your doorstep — so they return home comfortable and cared for.

Every homecoming is handled with the same care we began the day with. If you're there, you'll be greeted with a happy, relaxed dog ready to share their day in their own way. If you're not home, we follow your instructions — settling your dog in safely, refreshing their water, and making sure they are comfortable before we leave.

This final part of the day is just as important — leaving them feeling safe, loved, and completely at ease.

Home time — calm and content

"A full day, held from beginning to end."

Led with love. Guided with understanding.

Our Approach

Our 8 Core Areas of Support

Each area represents a fundamental part of how we understand and support dogs — physically, emotionally, and energetically.

01

Foundation & Safety

Grounding · Stability · Trust

A calm, structured environment where dogs feel safe, grounded, and able to settle. This is where everything begins — without safety, nothing else is possible.

02

Movement & Expression

Freedom · Play · Natural Behaviour

Freedom to move, play, explore, and express natural behaviours without suppression. Dogs need space to be themselves — and we create that space every day.

03

Confidence & Development

Growth · Learning · Empowerment

Building confidence through guidance, social learning, and real-life experiences. Not through pressure or obedience, but through understanding and encouragement.

04

Connection & Social Balance

Relationships · Harmony · Belonging

Carefully guided social groups where dogs form natural, healthy relationships. We consider energy, temperament, and individual needs — not just size.

05

Communication & Understanding

Listening · Body Language · Awareness

Reading body language, energy, and behaviour — and communicating clearly with both dogs and their humans. We don't just watch — we listen.

06

Behaviour & Emotional Support

Insight · Compassion · Depth

Working with the whole dog — not just behaviours, but the emotions and experiences behind them. Every reaction has a reason, and we seek to understand it.

07

Energy & Wellbeing

Calm · Regulation · Balance

Supporting calm, regulation, and overall wellbeing through environment, presence, and care. This includes massage, bodywork, and energy support for those who benefit.

Includes: therapeutic massage, bodywork, nutrition guidance

08

🌈 Human–Dog Connection

The Bridge · Understanding · Growth

Strengthening the bridge between dogs and their humans. Sharing insights, changes, and deeper understanding — so relationships grow beyond just routine care.

Includes: daily insights, communication work, behavioural guidance

Where It Begins

Every Journey Begins with a Foundation Week

Every dog who joins Skool of Drool starts the same way — with time, space, and understanding. There are no single trial days. Because trust, confidence, and connection can't be built in a few hours.

Step 1

Home Visit & Assessment

We come to you. Every new journey starts with a home visit where we get to know your dog in their own environment — how they move, how they communicate, and what they need.

We'll talk through your dog's personality, any concerns, and what their days look like right now. This is how we make sure the environment is right for them — and that we can support them properly from day one.

Step 2 — Their First Week

Foundation Week

£111 (5 consecutive days)

This is where the real journey begins. Five full days of gentle, structured integration into the Skool of Drool world.

Just like children starting nursery, one day isn't enough to feel safe or settle in. Across the week, your dog builds relationships with the team, integrates into the right groups, and begins to understand the rhythm of the day.

What's Included

  • Daily updates throughout the week
  • First day introduction video
  • End-of-week summary video
  • Full overview of how your dog has settled
  • Gentle, structured integration
  • Ongoing support and observation
Start Your Dog's Journey

This is the only way to begin — because we believe your dog deserves a proper start.

Step 3

Choose Your Rhythm

After their foundation week, you choose the pattern that works best for your dog and your life. Every option includes the same level of care, understanding, and support.

Every dog finds their own pace — we simply support it.

Ongoing Daycare

Find the Right Rhythm

After your dog's Foundation Week, choose the plan that suits them best. Every option includes free van collection & drop-off, balanced social groups, adventure walks, enrichment, and full care throughout the day.

What Sets Us Apart

This Is What We Do Differently

This is not a typical daycare. This is how we think, how we work, and why dogs thrive here.

🧠

Understanding Dogs, Not Just Watching Them

We don't just observe behaviour — we read it. Body language, energy, emotional state — all of it matters. This deeper level of understanding allows us to respond in a way that truly supports each dog.

🌿

A Natural, Open Environment

Dogs are not confined or restricted. They move freely within a structured, guided space that allows them to relax, explore, and express natural behaviours safely.

Whole Dog Wellbeing

We support more than just physical exercise. Each day considers mental stimulation, emotional balance, and overall wellbeing — creating dogs that are settled, not overstimulated.

🐾

Balanced Social Groups

Dogs are carefully matched based on energy, temperament, and individual needs. This creates a safe space for natural interaction, confidence building, and healthy relationships.

🚐

Calm, Structured Collection

Collection is part of the experience, not just transport. We begin building connection from the moment we arrive, creating a calm transition into the day.

🤝

Clear, Honest Communication

We keep you informed when it matters. You'll always know if there are changes, progress, or anything important about your dog's day.

Our Story

How Skool of Drool Began

Viviana's journey through veterinary practice, physiotherapy, bodywork, canine communication, animal behaviour, massage, and energy healing led to a question that changed everything: What do dogs truly need in the human world?

After years working in veterinary practice and studying animal physiotherapy, Viviana realised that traditional approaches often addressed symptoms without understanding the whole dog. Dogs communicate constantly — through body language, energy, and behaviour — but most of the industry wasn't listening.

In 2012, Skool of Drool was born. Not as a business plan, but as a belief: that every dog deserves to be understood, not just managed. That daycare could be more than supervision — it could be a space where dogs feel safe enough to truly be themselves.

Today, that belief lives in everything we do. From how we greet each dog in the morning, to how we read the energy of the group, to how we create calm when the world feels too much. This isn't just a daycare. It's a world built around understanding.

A Few Things People Ask Us

What You Might Be Wondering

Honest answers to the questions we hear most.

We welcome dogs from around 12 weeks old, once they've had the appropriate vaccinations. What matters most isn't just age — it's readiness. Every dog is different, and we'll guide you on what feels right for them.

We don't offer single trial days. Instead, we offer a full week's trial — because dogs need time to settle, build trust, and understand the environment. Across the week, they meet the team gradually, integrate into the right groups, and begin to feel safe and familiar. You'll receive updates, videos, and a full picture of how they're settling.

Yes — but with care and honesty. Some dogs need more support before joining a group environment, and we'll always guide you on what's best for them. We work with the dog in front of us — not labels — and everything is done at their pace.

Dogs are placed into small, carefully matched groups based on energy, temperament, confidence, and play style. This allows them to feel safe, understood, and able to be themselves.

Every day flows naturally between structured walks, enrichment, social time, and rest and reset. We follow the dogs' energy — not a rigid schedule — creating a balanced, fulfilling day.

Everything we do supports regulation: calm arrivals, soft music in transport, balanced group energy, and rest periods built into the day. Dogs co-regulate with us — so our energy matters just as much as theirs.

Yes — collection and drop-off are included. Pick-up times are typically between 8:30–9:30am, depending on your area. Drop-off follows the same route, allowing each dog a full, balanced day.

If you're outside our collection area, you're very welcome to bring your dog to us and collect them at the end of the day. For the right dogs and families, this can work beautifully — and we're always open to finding what feels aligned for everyone.

Dogs are returned settled and calm, towel dried and cleaned, and emotionally fulfilled. If you're not home, we follow your instructions — settling them in, refreshing water, and making sure they're comfortable.

Yes — but in a way that feels meaningful, not overwhelming. We share important updates when needed, videos and progress during their journey, and deeper insights when we notice changes. You'll always know how your dog is doing — without constant noise.

Yes — but suitability depends on the individual dog, not just breed or size. Our focus is always the right environment, the right group, and the right support.

Yes. We offer flexible options — but consistency is key. Dogs who attend regularly tend to settle faster, build stronger bonds, and get the most from the experience.

We don't just look after dogs — we understand them. Everything is built around connection, communication, emotional wellbeing, and natural behaviour. It's not just daycare. It's a space where dogs get to be dogs.
