Read this alongside our Privacy Policy and the Care Agreement you sign at onboarding. The Care Agreement is the specific contract for your dog's care; these Terms cover the broader relationship and our website.
1. Who's who
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "the guardian") and Skool of Drool ("we", "us", "our"), a doggy daycare based at Unit 1, 11 East Avenue, Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, operated by Viviana Victoria.
By using our website, enquiring about our services, or attending Skool of Drool, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
2. Our services
Skool of Drool is a doggy daycare offering off-lead, group-based care in a natural outdoor environment. Our service includes home collection, daycare with a small canine team, and home drop-off.
We are not a kennel, a veterinary practice, or a training-only facility. We support the whole dog — physically, mentally, and emotionally — through structured group experience and individual attention.
3. Booking & onboarding
Every new dog goes through a structured 7-stage onboarding process: enquiry, discovery call, home visit, completion of our forms (Pup Fact Sheet and Care Agreement), Foundation Week (a paid trial week), then membership sign-up if both sides are happy.
Foundation Week is mandatory for all new dogs. There are no exceptions — it allows us to assess fit and gives your dog a structured introduction.
Your dog cannot start Foundation Week until both forms are completed and returned, including up-to-date proof of vaccination.
4. Fees, payments, and Direct Debit
Current pricing is shown on our services page and confirmed in writing at sign-up. Foundation Week is charged at a one-off rate; ongoing membership is paid monthly by Direct Debit.
- Direct Debit is set up via GoCardless after Foundation Week (not before). You'll receive a secure link to authorise the mandate.
- Monthly billing covers your agreed pattern of attendance (e.g. 2 days / week). Payment is taken on the same date each month, in advance.
- Failed payments: if a Direct Debit bounces, we'll contact you. Continued non-payment may result in suspended attendance until resolved.
- Price changes: we'll always give at least 30 days' notice before any change to your monthly fee.
- Extras: ad-hoc extra days, holiday care, or one-off bookings are charged separately.
5. Attendance, holidays & cancellation
You're paying for a place in the diary on your agreed days, not for individual sessions. We hold those days for you whether your dog attends or not.
- Holidays / time off: please give us as much notice as possible so we can plan routes. Notified absences don't reduce your monthly fee — your slot is held.
- Pausing membership: if you need to pause for an extended period (illness, work travel, etc.), get in touch. We'll discuss options including holding your spot at a reduced rate where space allows.
- Cancelling membership: please give us one calendar month's notice by email. The Direct Debit will continue through that final month, and we'll part ways warmly.
- Same-day attendance changes: please use the daily-notes form or message us as early as possible. Last-minute drop-offs may not be possible if vans are full.
6. Weather & closures
We work outdoors. In extreme weather (high heat, snow, ice, storms, or unsafe conditions), we may adjust or cancel daycare to protect dogs and team. Where possible we'll tell you in advance, but some calls have to be made on the day. Please always have a backup plan.
Our annual closures (bank holidays, September Weekend, Christmas) are confirmed in advance each year and shown in your Care Agreement.
7. Your dog's health & behaviour
You agree to:
- Keep your dog's vaccinations up to date (core vaccinations + kennel cough are required for all dogs in group care)
- Treat your dog regularly for fleas and worms
- Tell us promptly about any change in health, behaviour, medication, allergies, or sensitivities
- Not send your dog if they're showing any signs of contagious illness (vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, kennel cough, etc.) — call us and we'll arrange to skip the day
- Provide accurate information in your Pup Fact Sheet — gaps put your dog and others at risk
Dogs are accepted into group care based on temperament fit assessed during the home visit and Foundation Week. We may decline or end membership if a dog isn't suited to group care — your dog's wellbeing comes first.
8. Emergency veterinary care
If your dog falls ill or is injured in our care, we'll contact you immediately and follow your wishes wherever possible. If we can't reach you and the situation is urgent, we'll act in your dog's best interest and transport them to your registered vet, or if needed, to our local veterinary practice.
By signing the Care Agreement, you authorise us to seek emergency veterinary care. You remain responsible for veterinary costs unless the injury or illness is the direct result of our negligence.
9. Liability
We take the safety of every dog seriously. We carry public liability insurance and hold an animal-activity licence appropriate to our service.
However, dogs are dogs — they run, play, get muddy, and occasionally pick up minor scrapes. By using our service, you accept that:
- Minor scratches, scuffs, muddy coats, or tiredness after a full day are part of the experience
- We are not liable for injury, illness, or loss arising from undisclosed health or behavioural issues
- We are not liable for personal items left with the dog (collars, leads, coats) being damaged or lost in the course of a normal day
- Our maximum liability is limited to fees paid in the relevant month, except where law prevents such limitation (death or personal injury caused by our negligence is never excluded)
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
10. Photos & social media
We sometimes photograph and video dogs during the day for our records, customer updates, and marketing (Instagram, website, occasional advertising). You can opt out of marketing use at any time on the Pup Fact Sheet or by emailing us — operational use (your daily updates) continues regardless.
If you ever want a specific photo removed, just ask. No questions, no awkwardness.
11. Your responsibilities as guardian
- Be ready for collection at the agreed time slot, with your dog harnessed/collared and ready
- Provide a safe, accessible drop-off location for your dog
- Keep us informed of changes — new address, new phone number, change of vet, change of routine
- Provide any food, medication, or specific equipment your dog needs during the day
- Treat our team with respect; we will always do the same in return
12. Right to refuse or end service
We reserve the right to decline a new enquiry, end Foundation Week early, or terminate a membership where:
- A dog is not suited to group care (aggression, severe anxiety, unpredictable behaviour)
- Health, vaccination, or behavioural information has been withheld or misrepresented
- Repeated payment failures occur without resolution
- A guardian behaves in a way that is unsafe or disrespectful to our team or other customers
In every case we'll talk to you first, give you a fair explanation, and refund any fees paid for services not yet delivered.
13. Website terms of use
This website (skoolofdrool.com) is provided for information about our services. By using it, you agree:
- The content (text, photos, design) is owned by Skool of Drool — please don't copy or republish without permission
- You won't attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the site or its forms
- External links are provided for convenience; we're not responsible for their content
- The site is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. For significant changes affecting active customers, we'll let you know by email at least 30 days in advance.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Any dispute that we can't resolve directly between us is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. We always prefer to talk it through first.
