Before your dog officially becomes part of the Skool, we take the time to get to know them. Because no two dogs experience the world in exactly the same way.
We don’t believe a dog’s personality, communication or needs can be understood from a form or a single introduction. Our joining journey gives us time to listen, observe, build trust and begin understanding the dog behind the behaviour.
This is where our relationship begins.
Our first conversation gives us the opportunity to hear all about your dog — their personality, experiences, routines, needs and what you’re looking for from daycare.
It’s also your opportunity to get to know us, ask questions and understand what makes life at Skool of Drool a little different.
If it feels like we could be the right fit for each other, we’ll arrange a visit in the place your dog knows best — home.
Before we step into their world, we meet them in theirs.
Every relationship starts with trust.
Before your dog’s first day, we come to spend some time with you and your dog at home — somewhere familiar, where they can simply be themselves.
We don’t rush this introduction. We pause.
It gives your dog the opportunity to meet us without the pressure of a completely new environment and allows us to begin building a relationship before we ever arrive to collect them for their first Skool day.
We’re not there simply to “meet the dog”. We’re beginning to listen.
We observe how they communicate, their body language, boundaries and preferences, how they respond to us and their environment, and anything they may already be telling us about what they need.
It’s our first opportunity to experience the authenticity behind the dog — not simply the behaviour we see.
One day can tell us something. A week allows us to discover so much more.
Rather than asking your dog to prove themselves during a traditional one-day trial, every new dog begins their Skool journey with a Discovery Week.
Across five days, they have time to experience our team, transport, natural environment and canine community — while we have time to really begin getting to know them.
And importantly, we’re not simply observing them during this week. We’re nurturing their experience.
We’re supporting introductions, noticing when they need space or connection, helping them navigate new relationships, allowing time for rest and decompression, responding to their communication and adapting their experience as we learn more about who they are.
We observe their personality, preferences, friendships, boundaries, energy and communication, while learning what helps them feel safe, comfortable and able to express themselves authentically.
At the end of their Discovery Week, we’ll have a much deeper understanding of your dog and can help you choose the membership rhythm that works best for them and for you.

We consider their breed, personality, communication, social relationships, environment, boundaries and preferences, while continually observing their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Because Skool of Drool isn’t simply somewhere your dog goes while you’re at work.
It’s a place where they’re known.
Monthly figures are the weekly price × 50 ÷ 12. We close for about two weeks at Christmas plus a few bank holidays, and those are the weeks we don’t bill.

Collection is part of the experience, not just transport. We begin building connection from the moment we arrive, creating a calm transition into the day.
We keep you informed when it matters. You’ll always know if there are changes, progress, or anything important about your dog’s day.
